A pleasant journey
On Friday, I came home. I took an Eurocitiy (EC) from Praha Holesovice in the early afternoon. It came from Budapest and was about 15 minutes late. Everybody entered (mostly stupid german school classes) and the train left the station. At least it tried – after 200 meters it drove back. And it did it twice. When we finally realy left the train station we were about 35 minutes late.
When we reached Dresden we were still 15 minutes late – too much for me, my next train had already left (it would have been the perfect one – no changing untill Saarbruecken and arriving on the same day at 11:11pm). I waited 40 minutes and got a train (Intercity Express – ICE) wich was a replacement for another which was an hour late and bla… This train went to Cologne – nothing for me, I got off in Eisenach, were we arrived 8 minutes later than we were supposed to. We had to change very fast and got another train (if this one wouldn’t have been late too, we wouldn’t have reached it either!) which I left in Frankfurt/Main. We reached this town 15 later than planned. Nevertheless I got my last train (Reagional Express – RE – making a stop for every cow) to Saarbrücken. Our train arrived there at 1:04 (do I have to mention that this was 7 minutes later than expected?).
This is how I finally got home. I will try it again and if an Odyssey like this happens again, I will take a bus or even a plane. Gah, I didn’t have any fun at all…
you poor thing =)
everyone should have their own limousine.
Limousine? Why stop there? Helicopters for everyone!
